Hurricanes have a seven game point streak, but no Cam Ward in net today. Justin Peters with the start for Carolina.

Ben Eager sits, for reasons unmentioned. Evander Kane is now on the IR, Jim Slater is still out, Spencer Machacek and Tim Stapleton have been called up from Chicago. Carolina sits in ninth, five points behind the Canadiens for the last playoff spot. Divisional opponent, too. Safe to say this is a fairly large two points at stake. Let's hope the team takes Rammer's admonishment to play every minute to heart.
