I don't want to go into great detail at this point, but I thought I'd share a little table of penalty kill stats. This table shows each penalty killer who's been on the ice for a PK GA. For each player, you can see the total goals scored while they were on the ice, the goals per 60 minutes of penalty kill time while they were on the ice, the goals per 60 minutes of penalty kill time while they were off the ice, and the difference between the two.
I've sorted the table by that last column. You can think of it as "how much better this player makes our penalty kill." If the number is negative, how much worse they make it. The results might surprise you. Or maybe not...
I know Coach Ramsay wants to keep Peverley and Ladd from playing too much on the PK, but they've been our best forwards out there. It seems like a very, very bad idea considering how badly we're getting beaten on the PK right now.
