Evander Kane knocks Matt Cooke out. HUGE thanks to Thrashers fan Fred Johnson for the best photo of the year (and JK Sockey for hunting down a clean version and posting to our Facebook page.)

First of all, a big thanks to Fred Johnson for the amazing photo. Fred, if you're out there, I'd love a full resolution version so I can get a print. You can email me using the link at the bottom of the page. Thanks!

It wasn't always pretty, but the Thrashers' final home game of the season was a win. By heading out with two points, the Thrashers left with 83 points, good for 2nd in the Southeast and their 3rd-best season ever (though roughly equivalent to 03-04).

Just because the season is over doesn't mean our work here is done. The crew here at BWA will have a variety of season wrap-ups, player recaps, discussions regarding management and coaching, and a few radio shows to boot. We've still got the draft lottery, draft, free agency, prospect camp, and training camp between now and the start of next season.

We're all taking a short breather, but make sure to check back in frequently over the summer. To keep up with everything we're working on, become a fan on Facebook, follow the Falconer on Twitter, or use the handy RSS links on the side of the page with your favorite aggregator. (I am also on Twitter, though I use it for quite a bit more than hockey, so if you're looking for BWA hockey talk, I'd stick with @Falconer18.)

We're working on scheduling a radio show as well, plan on that sometime next week.
