NHL players take to the ice Sunday morning as the Atlanta Thrashers begin their season. Click here for the full schedule and list of participants. All sessions are open to the public and free except for the two Prospects Games which will be a charity fund raising event. If you have never attended a practice, you should check it out.
In the past, the Thrashers have begun with scrambled lines as they evaluate players in different roles. But this season, the Thrashers are not messing around. Coach Anderson has already assembled what appears to be his likely opening night lines in Groups A and B, with the most junior prospects in Group C. The top two forward lines and D pairs in each group certainly look like heavy favorites to start on Opening Night.
