Greetings, all - I'm Aaron, formerly of tertiary Thrashers blog "The Blueland Outsider," now a contributing writer here at BWA. Dojomaster Falconer has asked me to provide a few words about myself, and I am more than happy to oblige.
Who Am I?
I'm a yankee transplant, but I've lived in the Atlanta area for almost 20 years. I grew up on a farm in northeastern Pennsylvania, and watched hockey on my dad's new-fangled cable device. Early on I was a Ranger fan, but since the 1999-2000 season, I've been a die-hard Thrasher fan.
What You Can Expect From Me (In List Form)
- Absurdist humor
- Photoshop skills
- LoL skills
- Nunchuk skills
- A powerful hatred of the following: the Wings, The New York [Expletive] RangersTM, the Flyers, the Pens, the Leafs, the Habs, Sidney Crosby, Matt Cooke, any mouthbreathers that suggest Atlanta doesn't deserve Ilya Kovalchuk or an NHL franchise.
- Open letters to hockey personalities unlikely to respond.
- A good deal of general spouting-off.
What Do I Expect From You (In Paragraph Form)
Comment. I expect you to comment. Violently disagree with anything I've written? Let me know. Think I should be nominated for some kind of prize (in a good way)? Let me know. Have some kind of insult you've been sitting on all week, just waiting to lob at some unsuspecting sap? Look no further. I'm that sap.
Look, you don't get a wide-open shot like that often. Use it.
