Linkopings of the Swedish Elit League put out a press release stating that Nic Havelid has agree to a one year deal top play for their team next year. A poster on HF Boards said that his brother is an assistant coach for that team.
Havelid should still have enough left in his tank for a few more years in the SEL if he wishes to keep playing over there. He's not going to get any NHL Hall of Fame votes but many many nights he was the best defender on his NHL club.
Thanks Nic for all the hard work he contributed to the Thrashers over the years.
