Up, Down, and Sideways: Thrashers Player Trends

New, 17 comments

Hey everybody! I thought it'd be fun to do a little feature every few games called "Up, Down, and Sideways." The idea is to look at which players are picking up their play, losing their edge, or perhaps a little of both. Now, for our first time through, we're going to look over a longer span: the past 10 games. So without further comment:

Up_medium Maxim Afinogenov: In his last 10 games, Mad Max has contributed 8 goals and 6 assists and is +11 (and even or plus in every game.) He's contributed several last-minute tying goals and scored the game-winner against the Florida Panthers with less than 6 seconds on the clock.

Sideways_medium Zach Bogosian: After starting the season on a scoring tear, Zach has slowed down and has just 2 goals and 2 assists in his last 10 games. That said, he's a +3 over that span after starting the season -4 in the first 12.

Down_medium Bryan Little: Little has points in just one of his last 10 games and is -4 over that span. He's looked a bit better since taking a couple games off, but after a 31 goal outing last season, Bryan's 2 goals in 22 games - one less than Chris Thorburn - are troubling.
