When I was combing through stats I found something interesting on Chris Mason. For the last two seasons Peter Budaj of the Avalanche had a better save percentage than Mason. But, when you put those two seasons together Mason had a higher save percentage. Sounds impossible, but it's true. The reason is because of a statistical paradox, and it happened with a couple of other goaltenders this season: Niittymaki and Ellis, Biron and Dubnyk, Elliott and Budaj.
