Let me start out by saying I'm not a Thrashers fan. The Avalanche are at the center of my heart, and I bleed burgundy and blue. But I am originally from Jacksonville Florida, and the teams in the south have always had a special place in my heart.

I'm really feeling horrible for you guys. I absolutely cannot imagine what y'all are going through. I can't imagine what losing  your team would feel like - what if the Avs were just an expansion team, what if we were moving? I can't even fathom it. But y'all need to keep your heads up. The NHL gave Atlanta a second shot at a team, so why wouldn't they give them a third? If y'all can get some better owners, they might just give y'all another team. And who knows how good Winnipeg's owners will be? They lost the Jets, didn't they? Y'all might be welcoming back the Thrashers one day, you never know. And even if they don't get y'all another team, you can just remember the good times with the Thrashers. It'll hurt for a while, but y'all can move on. What's done is done, and even if it stings, there's no point in moping about it forever. Just keep your heads up - y'all can move on, adopt another team (even if it'll never be the same as the Thrashers), and who knows, y'all might get another team.
