Stay Tuned....
I'm hearing another trade may be in the offing, possibly today. Rick Dudley has no time for your fireworks and grilled meats - there's a dynasty to be built....

I wouldn’t get too excited. My inkling is that it’s minor.

Okay, this is what I can tell you:
- Good, trustworthy source.
- Looking for another winger
I don’t want to throw out too much, but sorry to drop a bomb and run away for a while.
Being a Thrashers fan - it's kind of like being punk rock in a hick town.

so what you’re saying is that he is making a 3 way trade with philly and anaheim that sends macarthur and white away and brings in ryan and gagne…i’m really good at reading between the lines

Hmmm. Kovalchuk’s agent just said he’s going to make his decision today. Coincidence?! :-)

I can't see them moving Cormier
As high as Dudley is on him, he seems to be pretty much untouchable.
You’ll eat those words in 2 years on Cormier. I guarantee it. And I almost never guarantee anything. But if you’re like most fans, in 2 years you’ll also claim that you NEVER liked Cormier and you always knew that he would suck.
Mark my words – Cormier will be a bust.
Isn’t crazy what Waddell and Dudley have accomplished? You can get the impression that Cormier is a messiah for the Thrashers. Personally, I’m in the wait and see section. Cormier is also not untouchable in my book.
What? You and Zontar being contrary?
Color me shocked. If the two of you think he is overrated, that tells me PC will be a huge success.
If Cormier becomes a solid two-way third-line center with leadership potential, I’d be quite happy. Think a new Marty Reasoner.

I’m not getting all jiggy because of a potential bottom six player. The almost excessive love from the current and former GM is a bit too much love from my viewpoint. We are not talking about a first line sure fire talent.
Cormier physical approach and his nastiness make him more to Bobby Holik and his first stint in New Jersey.
Just to clarify, I’m not saying that he’ll be bust.
James Neal, Mason Raymond, Blake Wheeler, what do they both have in common?
-RFA

Parise, please.

Elias
I don’t think ASG would pony up the $6M Elias is making this year.
But Zajac at $3M? Maybe…

It’s probably Elias. Only Devil with a high salary that doesn’t suck. Zubrus and Salvador are obviously overpaid, and Rolston is the equivalent of a $5 million anchor that you can’t get rid of. Arnott, Tallinder and Volchenkov aren’t going anywhere because they were recently acquired. Zajac and Parise are who the Devils are building around. That and trading Elias frees up a spot on the LW for Kovalchuk.

I wish, but not a chance on Zajac. We’d have a chance at Elias if they take White, Mac, and probably a draft pick/prospect.
sounds like someone got a little trigger happy

I think the expectations are too high. Not anticipating any sort of blockbuster, just letting people know some a smaller deal might be afoot.

The Twitter guys were saying that Bieksa to you for Ladd.
(NHL Sources Say )
As for Raymond mentioned above…not really available. He has an arb hearing next week. He will be staying unless the award is just crazy.
Peace
You ought to tell them to watch the video that we posted
Hear how much Torchetti likes Ladd? I’d bet Dudley feels exactly the same way. I highly doubt he’d get traded. (Unless, of course, there are arbitration issues.)
Everyone is movable.
They would “love” Raymond or whomever they got back, I am sure.
The other thing to consider is that Bieksa is not only tough and can fight, but he gets an average of 40 points a year.
That’s as much as Ladd gets as a forward.
We already have too many defensemen.
Bogosian – Enstrom
Hainsey – Oduya
Sopel – Kulda/Valabik
…and in a pinch, if two of our D went down, we could call up Paul Postma.
So why on earth would we trade a younger forward who we went out an acquired for a near-30 year old D-man who only has a year left on his contract?
Answer: NHL Sources Say is full of crap.
Ladd’s point totals are low because he was playing on Chicago’s 3rd line. His 17 goals last year could easily become 20-25 goals here with some 2nd-unit PP time.
This move would make zero sense – even if Ladd ends up in arbitration – unless we acquire some other important asset back. Or dump something ugly.
No on Burrows. His 2 mil over the next 3 is too much of a steal. I get what you are saying on Ladd.
Bieksa would be in your Top 4 easy though.
Just a thought. You might be right about the source…though he has been right on a few things this off season.
Summer rostarbation is fun though…so lets play.
Bieksa and Raymond for Ladd and Hainsey or Valabik?
