Andrew Kozak led the Thrashers offensively with two goals and one assist as they beat the Hurricanes rookies 7-3. The game was much closer than the final score would indicate, it was a 4-3 game in the 3rd but the Thrashers put up 3 goals in the final 3:05 to turn the contest into a scoreboard rout. Eric O'Dell netted two of the three insurance goals. Kozak led the team with 8 shots, while defenseman Paul Postma and Arturs Kulda tied for 2nd in shots with 6 for the game.

The 4 goal win did much to clean up some ugly plus/minus numbers on the Thrashers squad. Paquette now leads the team with a +3. After three games here are the Thrashers shot leaders:

It is nice to see Kozak get some points, but keep in mind that at age 23, he is 5 years older than some of the prospects he is playing against.
