Jason Krog Returns to Thrashers?
He just showed upon the NHL.com roster, which has been a precursor to official announcements in the past. He could be a Chicago depth guy or perhaps a PK specialist with the NHL club.

krog would be a nice signing. he deserves a real shot at an nhl roster. he’s more than paid his dues in the ahl. i wonder who will sign alexander giroux?

Well...
Atlanta gave him a real shot at making an NHL roster two seasons ago. He played a full season in Anaheim four years ago. The guy just looks lost out there on the ice, and at this stage of his development (He’s 30 freaking 4) it’s more than apparent he won’t make it in the bigs. Strictly an AHL signing, and not a bad one considering how hard he dominates that league.

I also see Drew McIntyre on the Thrashers roster on nhl.com. He was playing for the Milwaukee Admirals last season. Maybe a replacement for Turple?

Huge improvement if that’s accurate.
Could be an AHL insurance policy in case of a goalie trade.
