Rick Dudley and Mark Dobson were both watching Nashville so if there is an impending trade it might be with the Predators. I hear Nashville is looking for a player with Rich Peverly-type skills. (sorry couldn't resist)

Eager to see Boris back

Yes, I know, I still have my man crush on Big Bad Boris but honestly, I’ve been less than impressed with Popovic and Schubert so far, so hopefully Valabik will earn his way back in the top 6 and bring some edge back to our bottom pairings. Nashville is indeed short on D (I don’t think Francis Bouillon should play 20 minutes…) so maybe we can get a low draft pick for Popovic…

Agreed Monsieur Kheldar. Only place I divert from your opinion is with Schubert. I think he has been quite solid of late. Of the Schubert/Popovic/Salmela triumvirate I believe Herr Schubert has been the most consistently solid. Does his job without flash or fanfare. I’m a fan of his

I agree with Mr. Overmars re: Schubert is the best of the bottom three D. He makes a mistake each night, but he hits and can pass. We need a little size and fierceness on our 3rd pairing.

Schubert has surprised me a little. He’s not fancy but gets the job done. My only fear is that if Valabik returns, pairing the two of them together might be a disaster.

Who would we be looking for in return? The only glaring flaw to me would be the fourth line.

Being a Thrashers fan - it's kind of like being punk rock in a hick town.
